DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assist with the Classification of HTS Codes (How and Why they are necessary)
  2. Assist with Free Trade Agreements- Understanding the importance of FTA’s and knowledge on how to complete within compliance
  3. Assist with documentation package's for import and exports for the states of: California, Mexico, Japan, and any other country where Steel Technologies has business.
  4. Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Team player with great interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Detail orientation with proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Dependability: this internship requires being reliable, responsible, dependable, and fulfilling obligations

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Prefer to be enrolled in current college/education program, or a recent graduate.

Formal education may be substituted with experience and training when competency in the position is demonstrated.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This work is performed in an office setting with minimal to moderate noise due to computers, printers, and people.
