Overview

Established and growing commercial general contractor seeking a hands-on Construction Superintendent to lead field operations across multiple project types including ground-up, renovations, and tenant fit-outs.

This is a field-first leadership role. The Superintendent is the primary on-site authority responsible for execution, coordination, safety, quality, and schedule performance.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership, communicates proactively, and can run a job without constant oversight.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all on-site construction activities from mobilization through closeout
  • Maintain and drive the project schedule; hold subcontractors accountable
  • Coordinate all trades, inspections, deliveries, and sequencing
  • Enforce safety standards and maintain a clean, organized jobsite
  • Read and interpret drawings, specs, RFIs, and submittals
  • Identify and solve field issues quickly and proactively
  • Produce daily reports with photo documentation
  • Prepare and maintain 2-week look-ahead schedules
  • Manage punch lists and ensure timely closeout
  • Act as the primary on-site representative to clients, inspectors, and stakeholders


Requirements

  • 5+ years experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
  • Experience with ground-up, renovations, and tenant fit-outs
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and field operations
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Experience managing subcontractors and site logistics
  • Proficiency with iPad/email and construction software (Procore preferred)
  • Must be reliable, organized, and accountable
  • Must have own vehicle and be willing to travel regionally
