Job Description

We are currently looking for a Office Shipping Clerk for a leading manufacturer in Somerset, NJ! A well established company is seeking a dedicated, hard working individual who wants to advance in a career.

Schedule

Monday - Friday

8:30am - 5:00pm

Salary

$20-25/hr. (Based on performance after 1-2 week training period)

Office Duties:

Answer and direct phone calls, respond to emails, and provide basic customer support.
Create and maintain records such as order acknowledgement, picking, labels and delivery documentation.
Data entry and filing (digital and paper-based) to support accounting, sales, and operations.
Assist with scheduling pickups/deliveries and communicating with customers or vendors.
Support office inventory management and ordering of supplies.
Prepare basic reports or summaries for internal use.

Shipping & Receiving Duties:

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments; report damages or discrepancies.
Prepare outgoing shipments with proper labeling and documentation (BOLs, packing slips, MTRs, Pro Forma Invoice, etc.).
Coordinate with freight carriers and schedule pickups as needed.
Maintain organized shipping/receiving records.

Shipping Clerk Qualifications:

Previous shipping, and clerk/office experience
Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes.
Computer-savvy (Microsoft office)
Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Keen on working in a fast-paced environment.
