Job DescriptionMammography Technologist II - Full-Time with Flexible Shifts
The Mammography Technologist II is responsible for conducting both screening and diagnostic mammography, as well as breast ultrasound procedures, to support radiologists in interpreting breast imaging. This position also involves assisting with needle localization and biopsy tasks, implementing radiation safety measures, and may require operating a mobile mammography unit. Candidates should possess the necessary certifications, have a minimum of two years of relevant experience, and comply with healthcare standards and patient care protocols.

This role entails providing screening and diagnostic mammography along with breast sonography for radiological interpretation. If the primary focus includes specialized procedures, the technologist will assist the radiologist with needle localizations and biopsies while ensuring essential patient care during radiological processes. The application of radiation protection principles is crucial. Additionally, the technologist may assist with general radiographic and administrative tasks as required. For those assigned to the mobile mammography unit, driving the vehicle to various locations within the community is expected. Position Details:
Qualifications - Minimum Required:
Education: Completion of an accredited Radiological Technology program.
Licensure: State licensure may be necessary based on the practice location.
Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience.
Certification/Registration: Must hold ARRT certification. R.T.(M) + R.T.(BS) or RDMS(BR) or obtain certification in mammography (Breast Ultrasound Certification).
Other Skills & Knowledge: Proficiency in Breast Biopsy and Needle Localization procedures.
