Deliver skilled nursing care within a well-established medical-surgical unit at a prominent healthcare institution in the St. Louis area. This opportunity focuses on night-shift nursing professionals who are adept at managing diverse medical patients within a 60-bed, 7th floor medical unit supporting critical and complex care. The role supports patient comfort and recovery by expertly coordinating with interdisciplinary teams and employing proficient nursing practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct medical-surgical nursing care following established protocols and the Missouri Nurse Practice Act.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care activities for all adult age groups.
- Collaborate with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and uphold patient rights.
- Use specialized equipment such as bladder scanners, IV pumps, and wound vacs.
- Adapt to flexible schedules with a 1:5/6 patient ratio in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Registered Nurse license eligible or active in Missouri.
- Minimum of one year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
- ACLS certification preferred.
- Demonstrated dependability, flexibility, and teamwork skills.
- Adherence to unit dress code with black scrubs.
Schedule:
- Night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am.
- Weekend hours required approximately every other weekend.
- Options for 36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week.
