Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Midwest school district is seeking experienced Special Education Teachers to support K-12 students across multiple grade levels. These full-time, contract positions offer the opportunity to make a significant impact by providing tailored instructional support to students with diverse learning needs in a dynamic educational setting.
Position Details:
- Locations: High school: 2 full-time roles supporting grades 9-12 Middle school: 1 full-time role supporting grades 6-8
- Work hours: High school: 7:30 AM 2:10 PM Middle school: 7:50 AM 2:40 PM
- Contract duration: High school positions through June 2026 Middle school position through March 2026
Key Qualifications:
- Moderate Special Education license required
- Proven experience teaching at the secondary level
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Collaborative approach to working with students, families, and school teams
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to support academic and social development
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with general education teachers and specialists to ensure student success
- Maintain compliance with legal and educational standards related to special education
- Participate in team meetings and professional development sessions
