Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Technician to support the daily operations of the Rapid Prototyping Center (RPC). The ideal candidate will have a technical or scientific background, a strong safety mindset, and a desire to work in a dynamic, innovation-driven environment. This role focuses on laser cutting, post-processing, and assisting in the operation of 3D printers to quickly produce high-quality prototypes for internal customers. Design experience is a plus but not required.
Required Qualifications:
- Hands-on technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer proficiency; good communication and time management skills.
- Strong safety awareness and attention to operational detail.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team-focused environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Educational background in engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry, physics, or related fields.
- Experience in a laboratory or technical work environment.
- Familiarity with 3D printing technologies and post-processing techniques.
- CAD software experience.
- Bachelor’s degree is welcome but not required; entry-level candidates encouraged to apply.
Additional Details:
Duration: 12 Months contract with the possibility of extension (Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
Pay range: $19 to $22/hour on W2
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
