Responsibilities
- Deliver daily radiation therapy treatments to patients in the home healthcare - hospice setting, operating the available linear accelerator.
- Conduct CT/Sim imaging for treatment planning and simulation as required; ensure accurate setup and patient immobilization for each session.
- Verify treatment parameters, ensure correct patient identity and treatment site, and document progress in Cerner Aria.
- Monitor patients during treatment, respond to routine issues, and communicate effectively with the clinical team, including MAs, radiation therapists, and RNs.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and radiation protection guidelines; perform basic equipment checks and report any malfunctions promptly.
- Complete treatment records and participate in handoffs and scheduling workflows within a block-oriented schedule.
Requirements
- Experience or familiarity with radiation therapy workflows in a setting that uses a linear accelerator and CT/Sim; willingness to operate within the described equipment environment.
- Ability to work in a home healthcare - hospice setting and to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency with Cerner Aria documentation system or willingness to learn the platform.
- Strong patient-care skills, professionalism, and communication capabilities.
- Availability to work the specified 4x10 schedule in Marysville, CA as a travel assignment.
