Position Description
Job Title: Staff Accountant
FLSA: Exempt; Full-Time
Reporting Functions: Reports to Controller
Job Function: Responsible for assisting Finance Department with general accounting functions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Primary areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, accounts receivable and payable, GL reconciliations, and other accounting functions assigned by Controller
- Processes deposits
- Prepare and distribute monthly billing invoices and statements
- Process payable invoices
- Print and distribute disbursement checks
- Research inquires regarding paid and unpaid invoices
- Support other accounting functions and reports as needed
Additional Tasks
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Filing, copying, and scanning, and organizing.

Educational Requirements:
- Minimum of Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education plus 3-5 years professional level experience in payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or business administration fields.
- Professional certification a plus.
Other Requirements:
- Computer literate in hardware and software applications, PC/laptop and network.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to work with all levels of management and non-management personnel.
- The ability to work independently without the benefit of close supervision.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central a plus
- Proficient with Excel.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10; Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Valid driver's license.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk, and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone. Use of hands to operate standard office equipment; with occasional reaching and lifting up to 10 pounds.
Working Conditions: Normal office environment, Full-Time. Normal Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. May be required to work on other than normal workday or weekly schedule. Is required to travel for business purposes (normally not overnight). May encounter some exposure to household pets such as cats and dogs.
