Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Inpatient Rehabilitation (IRF) travel assignment in Madison, WI, requiring at least 1 year of nursing experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Free-standing, 50-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital serving adults with high-acuity rehabilitation needs
- Specialized programs include stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions requiring inpatient rehabilitative services
- Patient ratio of 1:7
- 12-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- Every other weekend required, with holiday rotation
- On-call responsibilities required
- Floating is not currently required but may include floating to a satellite IRF facility within 20 minutes in the future
- Equipment includes ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy and Sara Plus, slide boards, vital machines, EKG machine, BGM, and computers for charting
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Active WI RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or other 24/7 skilled care environment
- Minimum 13 weeks of Epic experience required
- Med-Surg or inpatient rehabilitation experience strongly preferred
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- The facility is accredited by The Joint Commission and CARF-accredited for its Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and Stroke Specialty Program
- The unit can reach high acuity levels and functions similarly to a medical-surgical unit; all nurses are expected to assist CNAs and respond to call lights for patient safety
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position — local candidates are not accepted
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates may not be employed full-time elsewhere during this assignment
