Wilkes University invites applicants for a Lab Coordinator in the Department of Biology and Earth Systems Science. The Department of Biology and Earth Systems Science has nine faculty and averages fifty to sixty majors. The Department has a strong mentoring culture with an emphasis on research experiences. Majors housed in the department include Biology, Medical Lab Science, Geology, and Environmental Science.

The Laboratory Coordinator will work closely with the Laboratory Manager and faculty to support all teaching and outreach laboratories. Responsibilities include ensuring proper lab setup, maintaining small equipment, preparing solutions and microbiology materials, and managing the inventory of materials, equipment, supplies, and organisms for these activities. A bachelor degree is required preferably from the life sciences (e.g., biology). The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a laboratory setting and will demonstrate excellent technical and interpersonal skills. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
