Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time role, based in Anaheim, CA, presents an opportunity to support students from infancy through 22 years old as a Deaf or Hard of Hearing Specialist. The position is a contract lasting through June 5, 2026, providing early intervention services and specialized instruction within a K-12 school setting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a caseload of 35 students, ranging in age from infants to young adults
  • Delivering early intervention services and conducting consultations
  • Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Providing itinerant support across multiple locations within the district
  • Working closely with program support staff to meet students' individual needs

Qualifications and experience desired:

  • Valid CTC Education Specialist Instruction Credential with Deaf and Hard of Hearing Authorization
  • Experience working with infants and familiarity with Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP)
  • Proven ability to provide specialized support to students with hearing impairments across a broad age range
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively consult with families and educational teams
