Position Overview: The Superintendent is responsible for planning/monitoring activities, and coordinating and supervising Assistant Superintendents, General Foremen, Foremen, and crew members through all phases of construction for multiple scopes of work.


Essential Functions

  • In addition to quality, continually ensuring all employees follow health and safety regulations while monitoring operations to promote the wellbeing of the whole team.
  • Lead and enforce adherence to the contract, work plans, project safety plan, project quality plan and company initiatives.
  • Accountability for and ownership of the safety, quality, and production performance metrics for all assigned activities.
  • Organize, manage and forecast procurement of resources and equipment for the lifecycle of the project.
  • Responsible for the planning and coordination of multiple scope activities to ensure proper construction sequencing, schedule, and budget goals are adhered to.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with the project management team, owners, engineers, consultants, subcontractors and the local community.
  • Review weekly labor reports with necessary stakeholders.
  • Coordinate, review, and approve daily timecards, quantity reports, and relevant project safety and quality documents.
  • Participate in hiring, dismissal, and performance evaluation processes of crew members.
  • Coach, mentor and foster a culture of continuous improvement of all team members.
  • Aid in the development of standard work and create work plans.
  • Accountable for the cleanliness and organization of work areas.
  • Participate in project meetings and act as a liaison between crew members and project management team.
  • Collaborate with engineering staff ensuring plans, specifications, submittals and RFIs are transmitted accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Oversee and enforce all processes and procedures that support the project close-out phase.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 year of experience in renewable energy required.
  • Minimum 5 year of experience in a supervisory role required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) is required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Blue Beam, Outlook, and related software programs. Knowledge of Procore desired.
  • Ability to work well in a group environment and foster a team approach.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize workload.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and practices preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communicational skills. Must be fluent in English; both spoken and written.
  • This role is for a skilled professional in renewable energy who is highly organized, detail-oriented individual with the ability to excel in a dynamic environment
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Working Conditions

  • 100% travel required. Projects will be nationally based.
  • Construction site environment – physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb. Exposed to high noise levels.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds continuously throughout the day.
  • Exposure to all forms of weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, dry, humid, windy) for the entire work day.
