Job Description\n
American Traveler is hiring an experienced travel RN for a Telemetry/Progressive Care Unit position requiring a minimum of 24 months of cardiac experience, Epic proficiency, and an active IA or compact RN license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Progressive Care/Telemetry unit in an acute care hospital setting
- Patient population includes post-CABG, ICD, pacemaker, cardiac drips, and vascular surgical patients
- Patient ratios are 1:4 on days and 1:6 on nights
- 24-bed unit with telemetry tech monitoring
- Cardiac drips include Nitroglycerin, Cardene, Heparin, Diltiazem, Dopamine, and others
- EMR: Epic (experience required)
- Equipment used includes Alaris IV pumps and wound vacs
- Floating required across multiple campuses
- Navy blue solid scrubs required
- Candidates who were employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for consideration
- Travelers must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
- RTO is limited to 1 day during the Thanksgiving holiday week (11/26–11/30) and 1 day during the winter holiday period (12/23–1/2), regardless of holidays worked
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a reduced travel pay rate

- Active IA RN license or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS (AHA) certifications required and must be active at time of consideration
- Minimum 24 months of Telemetry/Cardiac RN experience required
- Experience with CABG, ICD, pacemaker, cardiac drips, and vascular surgical patient populations required
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation experience required
- Drip and titration experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience with Alaris IV pumps and wound vacs required
- Must have completed at least one travel contract within the previous 18 months — first-time travelers are not accepted
- One supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Driver's license or proof of permanent residency required for consideration
