Nurse Practitioner – (Primary Care)
Position Type: Contract (Potential for FTE Conversion)
Work Setting: Onsite, Patient-Facing (Clinic-Based)
Schedule: Clinic Hours (Includes Every Other Weekend + Holiday Rotation)
Position Overview
In this role, you will collaborate with a dedicated clinical care team to manage a panel of patients, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care management. This is a patient-facing, autonomous role ideal for providers who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and are passionate about improving patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide primary and family care including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and health counseling
- Manage acute and chronic conditions using evidence-based practices
- Conduct routine exams, diagnostic testing, and treatment planning
- Educate patients on preventative care, wellness, and healthy lifestyle choices
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Perform clinic operations including:
- Opening/closing procedures
- Inventory management
- Patient follow-ups
- Insurance verification and payment collection
- Maintain accurate documentation using Electronic Medical Systems (EMS)
- Ensure a clean, safe, and compliant clinical environment
- Encourage patient engagement in their own healthcare and well-being
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program
- Current National Board Certification
- Active NP license in the state of practice (in good standing)
- Minimum 1+ year of recent primary care experience (family medicine preferred)
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC required)
- Willingness to obtain DEA registration (if not already active)
- Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with chronic disease management and quality metrics
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Systems (EMS)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based care environment
- Flexibility to travel occasionally for float coverage
- Willingness to obtain multi-state licensure
Work Environment & Schedule
- Onsite, patient-facing clinic role
- Clinic hours including evenings, weekends (every other), and holidays
- Autonomous practice with support from a clinical care team
- Fast-paced, retail healthcare setting
