Job Summary:We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Sanitation Associate to join our 3rd shift team in a food manufacturing and production environment. This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production equipment and facility areas to ensure compliance with food safety standards and company policies. The ideal candidate understands the importance of maintaining a clean and safe food production environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize production lines, equipment, and food processing machinery
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment for thorough cleaning
- Sweep, mop, and sanitize floors, walls, and work areas
- Remove waste and dispose of materials properly
- Follow GMP, HACCP, and food safety guidelines
- Use cleaning chemicals safely and according to instructions
- Complete sanitation logs and required documentation accurately
- Ensure all areas meet safety and quality standards before production begins
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE
Skills
- Proven experience in industrial or commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial roles within manufacturing or food processing environments.
- Strong knowledge of sanitation procedures specific to food production facilities and manufacturing plants.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail during cleaning tasks.
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety protocols related to industrial cleaning.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions and schedules accurately.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks during long shifts.
