Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Special Education Teacher position is available in Milpitas, CA, specializing in Mild-Moderate disabilities. This contract role focuses on delivering tailored educational support within a school setting to help students with special needs achieve their academic goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with mild to moderate disabilities
- Adapt and differentiate instructional methods to meet diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to support student progress
- Monitor and document student performance and behavior to inform instruction
- Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher, particularly with Mild-Moderate disability populations
- Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations
- Ability to create and modify curriculum based on student needs
- Strong communication skills for interacting with students, families, and school staff
- Valid teaching credential in Special Education
