A K-12 school in Vero Beach, FL is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide specialized therapy services under a contract through the current school year (CSY). This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact with a manageable caseload in a supportive educational environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing targeted occupational therapy services to five students, with each receiving 30 minutes of individualized therapy per week
- Delivering additional compensatory services to two students to address unmet therapy needs
- Collaborating with educators and families to support student progress and integrate therapeutic strategies within the classroom
- Maintaining thorough documentation in compliance with school policies and therapy standards
- Monitoring student development and adjusting therapy plans as necessary
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with a focus or experience in school-based therapy settings
- Demonstrated ability to deliver direct services to children across K-12 grade levels
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff
- Flexibility and availability to provide approximately 5 hours of therapy services weekly at one school location
- Commitment to supporting student success and adherence to timelines (ASAP through end of school year)
