Job Description
This role supports a rubber manufacturing facility by operating and overseeing multiple production lines that produce rubber linings for tanks and tankers. You will follow detailed mixing schedules, track materials throughout the facility, maintain high safety and quality standards, and contribute to a clean, efficient, and collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate and oversee various production lines, including grinders, mixers, mills, compounding equipment, calendars, and hoists.
- Complete daily production tasks in the rubber lining manufacturing process for tanks and tankers.
- Follow established mixing schedules and measurements to ensure consistent and accurate rubber compounds.
- Use scan guns to track material movement into, through, and out of the facility.
- Load silos with the correct ingredients according to production requirements and safety guidelines.
- Document any nonconformances and record discarded parts accurately for quality control and traceability.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
- Follow all applicable safety policies, procedures, and guidelines while operating equipment and handling materials.
- Participate in required training on day shift and transition to night shift as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to support smooth production flow and continuous improvement.
Essential Skills
- Ability to work safely at all times and strictly follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Capability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Ability to read measurements accurately and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Willingness and ability to train on day shift prior to moving to night shift.
- Comfort working with production machinery such as grinders, mixers, mills, and hoists (training provided).
- Strong attention to detail for following mixing schedules, measurements, and documentation requirements.
- Reliability and consistency in attendance and performance in a production environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in mixing or compounding is a plus but not required.
- Previous forklift experience is a plus but not required.
- Previous experience using an ERP system is a plus but not required.
- Experience in a production or manufacturing environment is beneficial.
- Comfort working with rubber materials and related production processes is helpful.

Work Environment
The role is based in a smaller, laid-back manufacturing facility with about 30 team members across both shifts and a small night shift crew. The facility is non-climate controlled and can become warm in the summer, but it is well-ventilated to help maintain comfortable working conditions, supported by water stations and popsicles on hotter days. You will work around production equipment such as grinders, mixers, mills, compounding lines, calendars, hoists, silos, and scan guns for material tracking. The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and teamwork, with all breaks paid during the shift. Dress will be appropriate for a hands-on production setting, with required safety gear and adherence to all safety policies and procedures.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seville, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.53 - $24.03/hr.
