Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Special Education teaching opportunity is available in Northern Denver suburbs, specifically at a K-8 community school. This contract position focuses on providing support in a center-based classroom setting for students in grades K-3.
Responsibilities include managing a caseload of up to five students with moderate to severe special education needs. Currently, the caseload consists of three students, allowing for focused and individualized instruction. The classroom is supported by two dedicated paraprofessionals, facilitating a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
Key qualifications and requirements:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license for Special Education.
- Experience working with moderate to severe special education students.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals and school staff.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Availability to begin as soon as possible and commit through May 29, 2026.
The school calendar includes a spring break during which candidates may expect outreach for interviews. The hiring process involves a prescreen call followed by a panel interview.
