Instructional Aide (Per Diem) Tracy, CA | School-Based Support
Flexible per diem opportunities are available for compassionate Instructional Aides dedicated to supporting students in school settings. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students during classroom instruction, providing 1:1 or small-group support as directed by teachers and staff
- Support daily routines, transitions, and engagement in classroom activities
- Implement behavior support plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as applicable
- Assist with mobility, supervision, and personal care needs when necessary
- Maintain a respectful, safe, and inclusive learning atmosphere
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Completed TB test per school district requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
- Current clearances or willingness to obtain prior to starting
Preferred Experience:
- Background in school settings, special education, behavioral health, or child care
- Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- Training or certification in CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus (not required)
- Reliable, patient, and collaborative approach
