Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school district in South Carolina is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to support students across PreK through high school levels for the current school year (CSY) on a contract basis. These roles provide an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the education and development of students with diverse learning needs.

Location: Bennettsville and Marlboro County, SC
Grade Levels: PreK, High School
Employment Type: Contract, Full-Time (37.5 hours/week)
Setting: Onsite only, no virtual or remote options

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a PreK self-contained classroom for 3-4-year-old students, delivering tailored instruction and support based on individual education plans
• Serve as a high school special education resource teacher supporting a caseload of approximately 22-25 students
• Potentially lead a self-contained high school classroom with an estimated 10 students, with a likelihood of increased need in this area
• Attend to physical demands of the classroom environment, including lifting and assisting students as necessary
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective educational strategies and accommodations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active South Carolina teaching license with valid Multi-Category (Multi-Cat) and Early Childhood Special Education endorsements
• Prior experience working with special education students in self-contained and resource settings preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage diverse student needs effectively
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
