Job Description

Job Description

Newport Concierge Physicians is a patient-centered, physician-led concierge practice delivering high-touch, individualized care to our members in Newport Beach and the surrounding communities. Our multidisciplinary team includes a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician and a Movement Disorder neurologist, enabling us to offer integrated, expert care for a wide spectrum of neurological, musculoskeletal, and functional conditions. We are now building a dedicated Rehabilitation & Therapy Program — and we are looking for an exceptional Physical Therapist to help us design and lead it.

The Opportunity

This is a rare ground-floor opportunity to shape a rehabilitation program within a premier concierge medical practice. Working in close collaboration with our PM&R and Movement Disorder physicians, you will develop clinical protocols, treat a diverse and motivated patient population, and build the infrastructure of a best-in-class therapy program. There are no productivity quotas and no rushed appointments — only the time and resources to deliver truly excellent care.

Key Responsibilities

Program Development

  • Collaborate with the PM&R physician and Movement Disorder neurologist to design and launch the practice's Rehabilitation & Therapy Program
  • Develop evidence-based clinical protocols, referral pathways, and outcome tracking frameworks
  • Identify and help procure equipment, modalities, and assessment tools needed to support the program
  • Contribute to program marketing materials and patient-facing communications

Patient Care

  • Conduct comprehensive PT evaluations including musculoskeletal, neurological, and functional movement assessments
  • Provide skilled PT treatment for patients with neurological conditions (Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, stroke, TBI), musculoskeletal and spine conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation, and age-related functional decline
  • Design and implement individualized therapeutic exercise programs, manual therapy interventions, and home exercise plans
  • Deliver gait analysis and retraining, balance and vestibular rehabilitation, and falls-prevention programming
  • Perform functional movement screens, return-to-activity assessments, and sport/performance evaluations as appropriate

Collaboration & Communication

  • Participate in regular interdisciplinary case conferences with the physician team
  • Communicate findings and progress clearly through concise, high-quality documentation
  • Coordinate care with occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and community resources as needed
  • Educate patients and family members/caregivers on home exercise adherence, activity modification, and injury prevention

Qualifications

Required

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
  • Current, unrestricted California PT licensure (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in outpatient, neurological, or orthopedic PT
  • Strong knowledge of neurodegenerative and movement disorder conditions (e.g., Parkinson's disease, essential tremor)
  • Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise prescription
  • Excellent clinical documentation skills; experience with EMR systems

Preferred

  • Experience in a concierge, private pay, or boutique practice setting
  • Board certification (e.g., OCS, NCS, GCS) or advanced clinical training in orthopedics, neurology, or geriatrics
  • Certification or training in LSVT BIG, PWR! Moves, or similar Parkinson's-focused therapy programs
  • Experience with vestibular rehabilitation, dry needling, or instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM)
  • Interest and/or training in performance optimization, wellness programming, or lifestyle medicine

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • CME allowance and support for specialty certification
  • Small, collegial team with direct access to PM&R and neurology expertise
  • Autonomy to help build and lead a program from the ground up
  • No productivity quotas — longer, meaningful appointment times
  • Beautiful Newport Beach office environment with a high-quality patient population
