Job Title: Pharmacist – Hospital / Inpatient
Job Duration: 13 Weeks (Travel / Contract)
Shift: Evening Shift – 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM
Desired Location: Elmhurst, New York

Work Schedule:

• 37.5 Guaranteed Hours per Week

• Every weekend required

• Two weekdays off (Tuesday/Wednesday or Wednesday/Thursday)

Compensation:

• Hourly Rate: $105.01/hr

• Weekly Gross Pay: $3,937

• Weekly Stipend: $3,037
  Note: Pay rates may vary depending on experience and employment arrangements.

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist for a 13-week contract assignment in a hospital setting. The Pharmacist will support medication management and clinical pharmacy services in an acute inpatient environment, including Emergency Department and Behavioral Health units.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, verify, and dispense medications according to physician orders and pharmacy regulations

• Provide clinical pharmacy support for inpatient units including Emergency and Behavioral Health

• Monitor medication therapy for safety, effectiveness, and potential drug interactions

• Maintain accurate documentation within electronic medical record systems

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to support patient care

• Participate in medication reconciliation and patient safety initiatives

• Ensure compliance with pharmacy standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited program

• Active New York State Pharmacist License

• Minimum 1 year of Pharmacist experience, preferably in an inpatient hospital setting

• BLS Certification (American Heart Association)

• Strong knowledge of medication safety and pharmacy operations

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in acute care hospital pharmacy settings

• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical record system

• Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
