Job Title: Pharmacist – Hospital / Inpatient
Job Duration: 13 Weeks (Travel / Contract)
Shift: Evening Shift – 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM
Desired Location: Elmhurst, New York
Work Schedule:

Two weekdays off (Tuesday/Wednesday or Wednesday/Thursday)
Compensation:

Hourly Rate: $105.01/hr

Weekly Gross Pay: $3,937

Weekly Stipend: $3,037
Note: Pay rates may vary depending on experience and employment arrangements.
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist for a 13-week contract assignment in a hospital setting. The Pharmacist will support medication management and clinical pharmacy services in an acute inpatient environment, including Emergency Department and Behavioral Health units.
Key Responsibilities:

Review, verify, and dispense medications according to physician orders and pharmacy regulations

Provide clinical pharmacy support for inpatient units including Emergency and Behavioral Health

Monitor medication therapy for safety, effectiveness, and potential drug interactions

Maintain accurate documentation within electronic medical record systems

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to support patient care

Participate in medication reconciliation and patient safety initiatives
-
Ensure compliance with pharmacy standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited program

Active New York State Pharmacist License
-
Minimum 1 year of Pharmacist experience, preferably in an inpatient hospital setting

BLS Certification (American Heart Association)

Strong knowledge of medication safety and pharmacy operations
Preferred Skills:
-
Experience in acute care hospital pharmacy settings

Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical record system
-
Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
