Hematology/Oncology Locum Opportunity – Kentucky
A growing oncology practice is seeking a Board-Certified Hematologist-Oncologist to provide ongoing locum coverage beginning in October. This opportunity offers a predominantly outpatient practice with a manageable inpatient component, a balanced hematology and oncology case mix, and a collaborative clinical environment.
Compensation: Hourly: $270/hr, Overtime: $410/hr, Night Call: $390/shift, Call Back: $4010/hr

Schedule
Monday – Friday
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Potential for 3–6 night call shifts per month
Night call hours: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM

5% Inpatient Hospital Coverage
Epic EMR
Patient Population
Adult patients only
Clinical Responsibilities
New patient consultations
Follow-up oncology and hematology care
Treatment planning and management
Outpatient infusion oversight
Inpatient consultations as needed
Night call coverage when scheduled
Patient Volume
Average of 22 patients per day
Approximately 2–3 new consults daily
Case Mix
70% Oncology
30% Hematology
Required Skills & Experience
Required
Outpatient and inpatient Hematology/Oncology experience
Intrathecal chemotherapy administration
Management of adult hematology and oncology patients
Preferred
Intracavitary chemotherapy experience
Qualifications
Required
Board Certified in Hematology or Medical Oncology
Fellowship Training in Hematology/Oncology
COVID Vaccination
BLS Certification
ACLS Certification
Current NPDB Self-Query dated within 30 days of presentation
Preferred
Active Kentucky Medical License
Credentialing
Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90–120 days after application submission
