Job Description
Job Description
We’re opening a Spanish-style tapas bar in Union Square and hiring people who can actually run a room. This is a hybrid role by design. You’ll cook, pour, talk to guests, and keep things tight—sometimes all in the same shift.
If you need clear lanes and lots of supervision, this won’t be your spot.
The Role
Depending on your experience, you’ll handle some or all of the following:
- Prepare Spanish-style tapas with speed and consistency
- Make cocktails, wine, beer, and espresso—clean builds, no slop
- Work the crowd: read the room, talk to guests, keep energy up
- Keep your station stocked, clean, and under control
- Move fast when it gets busy without losing your head
For the right candidates, this role can scale into shift lead or management responsibilities.
For Managerial-Caliber Candidates
If you’ve run bars or restaurants before, we want you in the mix.
That may include:
- Leading shifts and setting service standards
- Training staff and holding the line on quality
- Scheduling, ordering, and basic inventory control
- Being hands-on during service—not hiding in the back
Managers here work. Period.
What “Crisp” Means
- You don’t panic
- Your station never looks like a crime scene
- You show up prepared
- You handle pressure without drama
- You leave things better than you found them
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in at least one of the following: bar, kitchen, coffee
- Strong service instincts and situational awareness
- Comfort in a busy, high-traffic environment
- Spanish food or cocktail experience is a plus, not required
- Leadership experience welcomed, not mandatory
Why This Is a Good Deal
- High-visibility Union Square location
- Focused menu, clean concept, adult ownership
Bottom Line
This place is for operators, not tourists. If you can cook, pour, talk, and keep things tight, you’ll do well here. If you can also lead, even better.
