Purpose:
The Senior Stock Controller is responsible for supporting the accuracy, integrity, and transparency of inventory across all stores, warehouses, and online operations within the region. This role conducts detailed stock analysis, audits, reconciliations, and operational follow-ups to ensure reliable merchandise flow. The Senior Stock Controller partners closely with Operations, Logistics, Loss Prevention, Transport, Customer Service, General Services, Training & Development, and external vendors to resolve discrepancies and improve inventory processes. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, high ownership, and the ability to operate within a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Accuracy & Analysis
· Monitor and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly inventory KPIs to ensure theoretical stock accuracy.
· Investigate discrepancies, reconcile stock movements, and identify root causes.
· Prepare detailed reports and communicate findings to the Stock Control Manager and internal stakeholders.
· Manage stock adjustments, transfer validations, and error correction processes.
Operational Support
· Support store teams with receiving, consolidation, transfers, and RFID accuracy.
· Assist DC and warehouse partners in resolving carton mismatches, transit discrepancies, and stock alignment issues.
· Validate internal orders for Training & Development, Recruitment, General Services, and other corporate teams.
RFID & Systems Execution
· Ensure high RFID performance across assigned stores and warehouses.
· Validate RFID movements against system records and support troubleshooting efforts.
· Assist with testing, pilots, and system enhancements introduced by HQ.
Audit & Compliance
· Participate in fiscal-year audits, cycle counts, and targeted store audits.
· Support external audit and Finance teams with documentation and reconciliations.
· Ensure procedural compliance across all operational inventory processes.
Customer Service & Loss Prevention Collaboration
· Investigate suspicious return claims or order discrepancies using RFID and system histories.
· Support Loss Prevention with shrink-related analysis or item-level investigations.
Leftovers & Product Lifecycle
· Assist with the management of leftover merchandise operations, including preparing picks, validating lists, and coordinating with third-party buyers.
· Support the consolidation and certified recycling processes for merchandise requiring elimination.
Cross-Departmental Coordination
· Partner with Operations, Logistics, Transport, Loss Prevention, and other internal departments to ensure stock integrity.
· Communicate actively with stakeholders to provide clarity, solutions, and operational follow-up.
Experience and Qualifications:
· 2–4+ years of experience in inventory control, retail operations, logistics, or stockroom management.
· Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
· High accuracy and attention to detail.
· Familiarity with retail inventory systems, RFID technologies, or warehouse processes.
· Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong communication and collaboration skills.
· Proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
· Must have completed 90 day introductory period in current position.
· Must be in good standing with respect to job performance.
Annual compensation range:
$80,000 - $90,000 + discretionary annual bonus
