We're seeking a detail-oriented Senior Business Insights Analyst to partner closely with our Operations team. In this role, you will rapidly deliver insights, develop and refine key metrics, and contribute to cross-functional process improvements that scale data driven insights to support our rapid growth. You will design and develop impactful data tools that generate actionable and prescriptive insights. The ideal candidate brings a strong track record of supporting teams across various corporate functions, and approaches challenges with a product-owner mindset—innovating and scaling self-serve data tools that reduce friction for our operations teams.

Business Insights Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the Member and Product Operations teams to define and analyze metrics to track the success of the overall business with a primary focus on member experience, service levels, and cross-functional business performance
  • Improve business understanding of our members, our products, and our profitability through data analysis, data visualization, and storytelling techniques
  • Drive cross-functional and enterprise-wide solutions, providing thought leadership within and beyond working group
  • Convey business insights derived from analysis and dashboards to influence decisions/outcomes by senior leadership
  • Design dashboards to monitor KPIs and business metrics in a readable and digestible format that allows quick insights into performance
  • Frame business problems in analytical language and converting business requirements into datasets, analyses, models, and dashboards
  • Interpret data with business context to discover patterns and identify trends that support growth and increase efficiencies, implementing enhancements to address control gaps
  • Build and automate tools to surface key data to stakeholders across a broad range of data literacy levels
  • Provide ad hoc analysis as needed across a diverse set of teams and needs to support existing customers, future sales, and strategic business decisions
  • Work cross-functionally with the Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering and Data Science teams

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years in data analytics
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Math, Statistics or similar
  • Experience with SQL data manipulation, using an ETL tool such as dbt, and experience with building models in Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Results-oriented mindset with an intense focus on achieving both short and long-term goals
  • A proven track record of problem-solving based on analytics to support business recommendations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills: the ability to present complex data in a digestible format to stakeholders of all data literacy levels
  • Comfortable creating dashboards in a BI framework such as Sigma, Snowflake, Metabase or comparable tools
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously: superb time management and prioritization ability
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously, as well as part of a team
  • Demonstrating statistical modeling, applied mathematics or STEM; R or Python
  • Experience in a hyper-growth company and consulting
