We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, experience with tight tolerances, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
· Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes (3, 4, or 5-axis preferred)
· Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models
· Program machines using G-code and/or CAM software
· Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials
· Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, CMM, gauges)
· Maintain tight tolerances and ensure part quality
· Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust offsets as needed
· Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean
· Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED (Technical certification preferred)
· 3+ years of CNC machining experience (or equivalent training)
· Proficiency with CNC controls (Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, etc.)
· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
· Strong math and problem-solving skills
· Experience with CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, etc.) preferred
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Preferred Skills
· Experience with multi-axis machining
· Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Strong attention to detail
