Position Overview

Innventure creates, funds, operates, and rapidly scales companies in strategic collaboration with Multinational Corporations (MNCs). Leveraging MNC market data, we seek to identify opportunities where well-protected, disruptive technology solutions address significant unmet market needs.

The Director of External Reporting, Accounting, under the supervision of the Vice President, manage and complete the external reporting functions of the consolidated entity as well as standalone reports of all the existing and future new companies it creates (collectively referred to as Innventure or organization). For select key functions and tasks, this role will initially be as an individual contributor but is expected to grow in scope and responsibilities.

This role requires the full scope of accounting acumen in order to properly identify all related and required disclosures. The right candidate will be one of the primary liaisons for external auditors and Senior Management. The individual in this role is expected to work closely with the Vice President, Finance to monitor and implement new accounting standards and disclosures as well as new controls, policies, and procedures to ensure that the organization is GAAP and SOX compliant and operating under an effective control environment.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and timely delivery of accurate financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)• Effectively manages the relationship and process with external auditors, internal auditors and other internal Company team members for preparation of the Company’s regulatory filings• Evolve the MD&A to best in class public company standards• Manage and coordinate month-end close and reporting efforts with others on the accounting teams• Help establishing, documenting, and enforcing a system of accounting controls, policies, and procedures• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including but not limited to, tax laws, SEC regulations, and other industry-specific standards.• Manages the preparation of SEC filings, including Annual Form 10-K, Quarterly Form 10-Q, Form 8-k and other required filings (Form 4 etc)• Provides support to Investor Relations in earnings release and other financial information• Coordinate documentation of SOX Section 404 processes and controls and review controls to ensure adequate design and identification of key and non-key controls for critical processes/accounts, including rationalizing and optimizing controls through automation• For both consolidated and stand-alone Innventure and its Operating Companies, prepare on a monthly basis Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows, Statements of Changes in Equity, and Statements of Changes in Mezzanine Capital• Prepare the Notes to the Consolidated Financial Statements• Preparing internal and external financial statements and reporting• Coordinating with outsourced functions including providing information to external auditors and tax return preparers• Reading and interpreting contracts and agreements as they apply to disclosures• Being proactive in offering suggestions and identifying opportunities for process and efficiency improvements• Taking ownership of projects and tasks assigned as well as those self-identified• Able to lead and direct third-party consultants and project leads


Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)• SEC reporting experience• Consolidation experience• Strong technical accounting knowledge• Must be a critical thinker and possess rigorous analytical capabilities• Solutions-oriented, good attention to detail • Self-starter and reliable follow-up through completion• Ability to work independently and process multiple complex projects while prioritizing workflow• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority• Flexibility to adapt in a quickly changing environment• Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills to effectively interface with a broad range of audiences including senior management, business and industry partners, as well as individual customers

• Start-up experience• Experience with NetSuite• Experience with Workiva• Foreign exchange translation experience• PCAOB knowledge and experience• Manufacturing background

This role will have some remote work flexibility but will be based in Orlando, FL.
