A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Medical Records Clerk/Health Data Entry Role in Columbus, OH. The Medical Records Clerk would be working for a correctional facility and has career growth potential. This would be full-time / 40+ hours per week.

Compensation

  • The pay for this position is $17-18 per hour
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Highlights

  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
  • The hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 7:30AM-5PM (Flexible Hours)

Responsibilities

  • Compile health information by reviewing, cataloging, and verifying medical reports for completeness.
  • Organize and file medical reports, ensuring all necessary signatures and documentation are present.
  • Prepare health information forms, including new admission charts and report requests.
  • Compile and generate statistical reports, such as daily/monthly census, Medicaid days, admissions, discharges, and length of stay.
  • Maintain and retrieve health records using the filing system.
  • Provide information from health records while ensuring compliance with confidentiality regulations.
  • Coordinate with other departments regarding health record procedures.

Requirements

  • At least 9 months of experience in records management or completion of three related courses.
  • A Valid CPR/BLS Certification (American Heart Association preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology (equivalent to one course or three months of experience).
  • Proficiency in typing, word processing, and using a calculator.
  • Ability to proofread reports, write routine business correspondence, and maintain accurate records.
  • Knowledge of health information technology and medical record-keeping regulations (JCAH, Medicare/Medicaid).
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days.
