We are seeking applicants for a Staff Accountant role with an excellent High Point based company. The Staff Accountant plays a key role in managing and maintaining financial records and business transactions in accordance with established accounting principles. This position involves analytical, evaluative, and advisory responsibilities, requiring a solid understanding of both accounting theory and practical application.
Key Responsibilities:

Post daily cash receipts to the general ledger and reconcile with bank transactions.

Prepare, review, and approve adjusting journal entries.

Perform account reconciliations, including bank accounts.

Track and report on capital expenditure projects; maintain the fixed asset inventory.

Analyze irregular activity in the Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet accounts.

Support the preparation of monthly and year-end financial statements and audit schedules.

Process weekly payroll journal entries.

File monthly state sales tax returns using Avalara.

Compile documentation for various tax audits (property, state, federal, FET, and sales tax).

Assist Controller with month-end close and annual budgeting processes.

Contribute to special projects and financial analyses as needed.

Support cost accounting during semi-annual physical inventory counts.

Help resolve issues with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (required).

2–5 years of relevant accounting experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate or higher), Word, and PowerPoint.

Experience with Epicor or similar ERP systems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Pay Details: $68,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
