Job Summary

As an Inventory Control Specialist at ARETUM, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing inventory levels to support our operations across various sectors.

Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements. Additionally, all team members may be called upon to support proposal efforts as needed. This could include resume formatting, providing skills alignment summaries, participating in meetings, or contributing to solutioning activities based on subject matter expertise or functional experience.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels, trends, and variances to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Develop and implement inventory control policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and production, to ensure accurate inventory data and timely replenishment.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Utilize inventory management systems and tools to track and manage inventory levels, including forecasting future demand.
  • Generate reports and provide insights on inventory performance, including stock levels, turnover, and aging.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of inventory tracking and optimization technologies and solutions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and 2 - 4 years of experience logistics/inventory control
  • GCSS-Army
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to obtain/maintain forklift license and box truck certification
  • Active Secret Clearance

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Ability to travel occasionally, if required by the position.
  • May require viewing and working with a screen for extended periods of time.

Travel to client locations is required for this position and may vary based on project needs.
