DNC Construction Services is seeking qualified individuals to help continue developing our growing retail construction team. We have worked for a wide range of retail giants.
What to expect....
This position includes construction project management, business development, due diligence reporting, conducting site observations, plan and cost reviews, and quality control. Responsibilities also include conducting research, mentoring team members, and representing DNC Construction and its clients professionally. Traveling in-state and out of state is a necessity and may include overnight stays. The job posting highlights the most critical responsibilities and requirements. It’s not all-inclusive. Do you have what it takes....
- Construction Project Management in a construction, retail, or design organization with practical on-site experience, ability to perform estimates and read drawings, and understanding of construction means and methods, and site operations.
- Degree or diploma in construction management, architecture, or related field preferred
- Skilled in the visual, written, and verbal communication of design and construction issues, project planning, and management
- Knowledge of contracts and contract types, including provisions, terms, language, insurance requirements, claim resolutions, and warranty
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Professional demeanor and ability to communicate effectively with business partners at every level, including upper management.
- Ability to analyze complex situations to find key insights and drive simple solutions.
- Capacity to communicate clearly and effectively with multidisciplinary cross-functional groups, both internally and externally.
- Ability to manage and deliver on a high volume of work within compressed timeframes
- Strong negotiation skills necessary
- Passionate about continuous improvement. Experience in process improvement methods!
- Regular travel to project sites and existing properties
- Construction Worker management knowledge is a must.
- Knowledge of retail and commercial design or construction.
- Superb personal and communication skills with the ability to successfully interact at all levels within the organization, including stakeholders, developers, and contractors.
- Exceptional problem-solving, administrative, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.
- Established ability to work self-sufficiently or as part of a team to produce the best results.
- Excellent ability in Microsoft Projects, Office, Excel, Word, etc.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in construction engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or similar from an accredited university. Five years of comparable experience may be considered in lieu of this requirement. *Consideration may be given to applicants with a comparable combination of education and related experience, or who have attained construction-related professional certification.
