Champaign County Regional Planning Commission is seeking Early Childhood Education Teachers to join our team. Champaign County RPC is a people-focused agency made up of over 100 programs designed to generate possibilities for all within our community. A great deal of planning goes into creating opportunities where people can succeed on their own, and RPC is doing that work. From analysis to policy guidance to offering services to our communities, RPC’s people plan for people.
Responsible for managing the classroom and carrying out a developmentally appropriate educational program to meet the individual needs of each child and Illinois Early Learning Standards. The Pre-K teacher position is contingent on Illinois Early Childhood Block Grant funding.
Requirements
- Ability to fulfill all DCFS requirements, including a physical and criminal background check
- Illinois Early Childhood Professional Educator License (EC PEL)
- Experience with preschool children preferred
- Ability to lift children
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
- Ability to practice civility at all times.
Summary
Status: Full-Time/Year-Round/52 Weeks
Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., M-F
Starting Hourly Wage:
$30.50 - $31.50 (BA/CERT)
$32.00 - $33.00 (MA)
