Title: X-Ray Technologist – Diagnostic Radiology
Location: Mayfield Heights, OH
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 3x10-Hour (22:00–08:30) — Friday, Saturday, Sunday (holiday support required)
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform a full range of general X-ray procedures in a fast-paced Diagnostic Radiology environment.
- Conduct ED/ER exams, including trauma imaging, reductions, pediatric studies, and neonatal/NICU imaging.
- Perform portable radiography throughout inpatient units and floors.
- Operate radiology systems including Shimadzu Rad-Speed, Shimadzu Mobile Art MX8, AGFA DXD 100, and Orthoscan mini C-arm.
- Support Level I Trauma operations with rapid, high-quality imaging.
- Participate in call if staying local and provide required holiday shift support.
- Collaborate with ED, trauma teams, and other interdisciplinary departments to ensure timely and accurate imaging.
- Adhere to department protocols, safety procedures, and radiation protection standards.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 18 months of permanent experience as an X-Ray Technologist prior to travel.
- Proven experience working in:
- Emergency Room (ER)
- Level I Trauma Centers
- NICU / Neonate Imaging
- Proficiency in general radiography, trauma imaging, pediatrics, and portable exams.
- Ability to perform in high-acuity, fast-paced clinical environments.
- Strong understanding of imaging safety and ALARA principles.
- Travel experience preferred; if applicable, a recent travel reference must be provided.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- ARRT (R) – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Ohio Radiologic License (permanent required at time of submission)
- AHA BLS – Basic Life Support
- All certifications must be active (no pending certifications accepted).
- Must be nicotine-free (non-nursing roles only); negative nicotine test required within 12 months.
