Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting functions for a growing property management and development company based in West Hollywood. This position reports directly to the Controller and offers the chance to be his right-hand as the team expands.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the monthly accounting close process for multiple entities, including preparing and reviewing workpapers
- Oversee and review property financial information.
- Monthly comparison of income and expenses to budget with review of variance analysis and account reconciliations
- Analysis of financial data and support with ad hoc projects
- Monthly financial statement reporting to management, lenders, and investors
- Loan processing or lender reporting experience
- Coordinate and prepare work papers provided to the tax preparer and auditors
- Assist with automating and streamlining processes
- Workflow or revenue process implementation
- Experience compiling draw packages
- CAM reconciliation and management
- Assist with distributions
- Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Related Field preferred
- 5+ years' experience in real estate
- Private Equity/Public Accounting experience a plus
- Detail-oriented with superior organizational skills
- Team leadership or supervisory experience
- Yardi administration and training experience
- Intermediate to advanced with MS Office.
