Job Description

Job Summary

The Vice President of IT Infrastructure & Operations will lead the stabilization, modernization, and future-state readiness of enterprise technology services across a growing, multi-entity healthcare platform. This role is accountable for enterprise infrastructure, IT operations, end-user services, service delivery, and operational coordination of security. The role has a clear mandate to restore and sustain operational reliability, establish disciplined, trusted IT service management, prepare the organization – technically, operationally, and organizationally – for a planned migration to Microsoft Azure, uplift a team with limited current cloud experience, and drive cost transparency, vendor accountability, and execution rigor. This leader will move Femwell from reactive operations to a predictable, metrics-driven, healthcare-compliant infrastructure and operations model that supports physicians, practices, and corporate growth. This role does not replace a CISO or security leadership function but retains accountability for security execution within Infrastructure & Operations.

Essential Job Functions

Infrastructure & Cloud Readiness (Azure-Focused)

  • Own Femwell’s infrastructure modernization and cloud readiness strategy, with Microsoft Azure as the target platform, and own accountability for preparing Femwell to migrate successfully.
  • Lead all pre-migration activities, including:
  • Current-state infrastructure and dependency assessment
  • Application and workload readiness analysis
  • Azure architecture standards and landing zone design
  • Identity, network, security, and operational readiness
  • Partner with Application, Security, and Finance leaders to define migration sequencing, governance, and cost models.
  • Build internal cloud capability through training, hiring, and selective partner support.
  • Ensure cloud strategy aligns with HIPAA, HITRUST, and healthcare regulatory requirements.

IT Operations & Service Delivery

  • Service Desk and end-user support
  • Infrastructure and network operations
  • Incident, problem, and change management
  • Establish and enforce ITSM processes using Salesforce as the enterprise ticketing and service management platform
  • Define SLAs, escalation paths, and executive-level visibility into service performance
  • Improve MTTR, incident communication, and operational predictability
  • Ensure business continuity, disaster recovery readiness, and operational resilience

Security Operations Coordination

  • Own operational coordination of security vendors and internal security functions
  • Ensure infrastructure, cloud, endpoint, and network operations are secure by design and secure by default
  • Coordinate MSSPs and security partners to ensure:
  • Clear ownership and escalation paths
  • Integrated incident response and communication
  • Consistent execution of security controls
  • Ensure security incidents and alerts are fully integrated into Salesforce-based ITSM workflows
  • Support audits, risk assessments, and compliance activities by ensuring infrastructure and operations teams reliably execute required controls

Financial, Vendor & Partner Management

  • Own the Infrastructure & Operations budget, forecasting, and cost controls
  • Create transparency around run vs. transformation spend, including future Azure cost modeling
  • Lead strategic vendor relationships (MSPs, cloud partners, telecom, infrastructure vendors)
  • Retain executive accountability for outcomes regardless of vendor involvement
  • Drive continuous cost optimization without compromising reliability or security

Organizational Leadership & Performance

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Infrastructure & Operations organization
  • Establish clear roles, accountability, and execution discipline
  • Uplift team capabilities in cloud, automation, and modern service operations
  • Address performance gaps quickly and decisively to protect operational reliability
  • Establish succession planning and reduce single points of failure

Enterprise Partnership

  • Act as a trusted partner to executive leadership, clinical leaders, and practice operations
  • Translate infrastructure risks and constraints into clear business impact
  • Support M&A onboarding and integration from an infrastructure and operations perspective
  • Collaborate closely with Application, Security, Data, and Integration leaders to ensure cohesive execution
