We are hiring full-time Special Education Teachers in Gardiner, ME to serve K-5 students, 3rd5th grade, and high school students in Math and English. This role offers the opportunity to support approximately 30 students at the elementary level, as well as secondary students, providing instruction, guidance, and individualized support.

Position Details

  • Location: Gardiner, ME (specific school assignment shared during interview)

  • Schedule: MondayFriday | Full-Time

  • Grade Levels: K5, 3rd5th, High School Math, High School English

  • Caseload: Approximately 30 students (elementary), varying for secondary assignments

What Youll Do Every Day

  • Support students with academic and functional needs, including reading, writing, math, social-emotional learning, and executive functioning skills

  • Develop and implement IEP goals and present levels related to each students service area

  • Progress monitor and report on student outcomes in alignment with IEP goals

  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families

  • Use Acuity for IEP paperwork and Goalbook to write and track goals

  • Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment where all students can succeed

  • Experience teaching K5 and/or high school Math and English
