Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Special Education VOCO Case Manager position is available on a contract basis in Springfield, Vermont. This role involves managing a substantial caseload with an urgent need for immediate coverage. The position requires on-site presence, supporting students within a school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate special education services for students in accordance with individual education plans (IEPs)
- Serve as a liaison between students, families, school staff, and external service providers
- Conduct assessments and develop goals tailored to each students needs
- Monitor student progress and adjust plans as necessary to ensure educational success
- Maintain detailed documentation and reports to comply with legal and district requirements
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student development and well-being
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher with a focus on VOCO case management
- Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
- Ability to handle a high-volume caseload effectively under tight deadlines
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Certification in Special Education or related credentials preferred
- Familiarity with telehealth services is beneficial but not required
