Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled counselor to support students across grades K-12 in a vibrant school setting in Maple Grove, MN. This contract position allows for meaningful engagement with students, helping them navigate academic, social, and emotional challenges while fostering a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement effective intervention strategies
  • Assist students with goal setting, decision making, and conflict resolution skills
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies
  • Facilitate programs promoting mental health awareness, social skills, and emotional well-being
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives and team meetings to support a holistic approach to student development

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • Valid counseling licensure or certification applicable to the K-12 educational setting
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively with children and adolescents across diverse backgrounds
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, and staff
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and adapt to evolving school environments
  • Knowledge of best practices in school counseling and mental health support services
