Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Active RN license
- Minimum one year of recent stepdown experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (current and valid)
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Experience in monitoring, assessment, and care of patients transitioning from ICU to medical-surgical level
- Excellent communication and collaborative abilities
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in a stepdown environment
- Monitor patient conditions, including cardiac and respiratory function
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge goals
- Document all care accurately and in a timely manner
- Respond quickly to patient changes and provide appropriate interventions
