TITLE: Clinical Specialist
POSITION SUMMARY:This field-based role provides clinical training and education on medical laser technology used to treat dermatologic conditions. The position focuses on improving patient outcomes by training physicians, office staff, and internal teams; identifying education needs; supporting account launches; and assisting with clinical and educational initiatives. The territory includes FL, GA, AL, LA, TN, SC, and NC, with preference for Tampa and consideration for Atlanta.
COMPENSATION: Straight salary, $85,000–$90,000
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Serve as a clinical expert on relevant disease states and laser-based treatments.
• Train physicians, office staff, and sales teams on equipment use, best practices, and clinical applications (in-services, ongoing education, webinars).
• Assess clinical proficiency and identify training needs for internal and external partners.
• Support sales teams by strengthening clinical relationships and improving patient outcomes.
• Manage new account launches, including training coordination and cross-functional communication.
• Assist with development of clinical and educational materials.
• Support clinical study activities and provide clinical expertise as needed.
• Deliver professional presentations and participate in trade shows or national meetings as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of clinical specialist experience, or Bachelor’s degree with RN and 2+ years of healthcare experience (3+ preferred).
• Dermatology experience required; psoriasis disease-state knowledge and laser experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a field-based, entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong communication, teaching, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel 40–60%, including overnight travel.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & REQUIREMENTS:
• Field-based role with a home office; frequent driving and work in medical offices, surgery centers, and hospitals.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Regular use of computers, mobile devices, office equipment, and medical laser equipment.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
• Internal: Sales leadership, field services, and cross-functional teams.
• External: Physicians and medical office staff.
