Location: We are seeking a Concessions Stand Cook at T-Mobile Park, home of the Seattle Mariners.
Job Type: Part-time Seasonal
*This position follows the Seattle Mariners' home-game schedule from March through September. Work from October to February is not guaranteed and is based on business needs and union seniority.
Union Status: Union
*This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement with UNITEHERE Local 8.
Work Location: In person
Pay: $26.50 per hour
Principle Function:
The Stand Cook is responsible for preparing food while ensuring food safety and maintaining a clean, sanitary environment. This role contributes to Sodexo Live!'s operational and financial success by adhering to culinary standards for sanitation and preparation, and by ensuring that food quality meets expectations for taste and presentation. Food service styles may include grab-and-go, restaurant-style, or in-seat service.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Prepare and coordinate orders to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent food production with ample supply available for service.
- Comply with all established health, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Work with a safety-first mindset to minimize accidents and incidents.
- Contribute to 100% customer satisfaction through teamwork and service excellence.
- Work seamlessly with stand workers to ensure that food production meets the fast-paced customer demands.
- Ability to work in high-pressure and fast-paced environments.
- Efficiently follow direction from stand leads and the concessions management team.
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
- Cleans workspace after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat. Ensures food and supply items are stored per standards
- Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers.
- Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Minimum 6 months experience as a prep, line, or grill cook.
- Ability to interact verbally and listen attentively to co-workers and supervisors.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work under pressure and independently.
- Valid Food Handler's Card and MAST permit required.
Other requirements include but are not limited to:
- Subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight and maneuver in tight spaces.
Hours are often extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
