Step into a rewarding contract role supporting K-12 students in need of skilled physical therapy services in a dynamic school-based environment. This unique position offers both VOCO (virtual) and onsite delivery options, providing exceptional flexibility. With a part-time workload of 3-5 hours per week, you'll make a meaningful difference in student outcomes while maintaining a balanced schedule.
Desired Qualifications/Experience:
- Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Previous pediatric or school-based PT experience preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes and related documentation
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable with teletherapy technology and virtual service delivery
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary educational teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for K-12 students to determine physical therapy eligibility and needs
- Deliver direct therapy services, maintaining a 1-hour direct to 0.5-hour indirect ratio as guided by DPI standards
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide consultative support to educators and families, offering strategies to support student participation and success
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student progress discussions
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with school and state regulations
This contract is expected to start as soon as possible and will run through June 4, 2027, offering long-term impact and professional growth.
