We are on the hunt for a dynamic, experienced, and highly motivated Permanent Controller to join our ever-expanding team in the Accounting and Finance industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to bring their expertise to our fast-paced, growth-oriented company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, ideally within the hospitality sector, and a proven track record of success in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Controller, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to:
1. Overseeing all financial operations of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
2. Implementing and monitoring internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
3. Utilizing M3 software to streamline accounting processes and improve financial reporting.
4. Collaborating with senior management to set financial goals and strategies, and to make informed financial decisions.
5. Preparing and presenting financial reports to stakeholders, highlighting the financial performance and growth of the company.
6. Managing and mentoring a team of accounting professionals, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
7. Proactively identifying areas for financial improvement, cost-savings, and revenue generation.
8. Liaising with external auditors and managing the audit process.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial management role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
2. Proven experience with M3 software or equivalent.
3. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
4. Strong leadership skills with a history of managing and developing high-performing teams.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound financial decisions.
6. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
7. A thorough understanding of financial regulations and standards.
8. A proactive approach to work, with the ability to anticipate and respond to financial challenges.
