Position Type: Full-Time (M-F 40 hours per week)Salary Range: 50k-55K Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical Accountant for our Lancaster, SC facility. You will bridge the gap between finance, senior management, and production departments in a fast-paced wholesale distribution environment. This role relies heavily on extracting, analyzing, and maintaining financial records using our advanced core software systems. Key Responsibilities·

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, variances, and forecasts utilizing SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks.
  • Production & Cost Accounting: Collaborate directly with production managers to track manufacturing costs, analyze production efficiency, and ensure accurate inventory valuation within the ERP system.
  • System Optimization: Oversee the integrity of financial data, troubleshoot system ledger issues, and help optimize financial modules within SAP/Oracle or streamline operations in QuickBooks.
  • Cross-Functional Strategy: Partner with senior management to translate system-generated financial data into actionable insights for business growth and cost-saving.
  • General Accounting: Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ledger maintenance, and reconciliations (A/P, A/R, and inventory tracking).

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive corporate accounting experience, ideally in a fast-paced wholesale distribution, supply chain, or manufacturing setting.
  • Software Expertise: Advanced, hands-on proficiency in mid-to-enterprise level software platforms (specifically SAP/ERP, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, or QuickBooks Enterprise.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, data modeling) and its integration with ERP software.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively translate technical software data to non-finance executives and department heads.
