Rational 360 is seeking a Fellow to support several client accounts. Fellows gain hands-on experience in public relations, research, writing, digital media, and media monitoring, while developing a strong interest in public affairs and American politics. Fellows assist with tracking media, legislation, and political stakeholders, and help support day-to-day client account activities. They contribute to preparing key client documents, including press and stakeholder lists, conduct research, and support account teams across a variety of projects.
Fellows should be eager to learn, interested in working in a fast-paced environment, and able to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.

Responsibilities
- Writing press releases, op-eds, blog posts, fact sheets and other content
- Maintaining press and media lists
- Primary research on various topics
- Compiling, organizing, and distributing news clips
- Pitching news stories to a variety of regional, national, and international news outlets
- Drafting and posting social media content
- Staffing client events and meetings
- Attending think tank events and writing reports
Requirements
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Must be available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Ability to handle multiple assignments at once
- Self-starter who takes initiative and has a strong, independent work ethic
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Benefits
The Rational 360 Fellowship program is a minimum of six-month paid program in our Washington, DC office. Fellows are expected to work 40 hours per week and earn $20/hour.
Fellows have the opportunity to grow their communication skills through professional development trainings hosted weekly in the Rational 360 office. Additionally, a member of the team will be paired with each fellow to mentor and train them throughout the duration of the fellowship.
This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
