Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (PCU RN) for a travel assignment in Atlanta, GA. This opportunity is ideal for nurses with strong cardiac PCU/IMCU experience and the ability to care for high-acuity cardiac patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.
The RN will provide specialized nursing care for patients requiring advanced monitoring and cardiac interventions within an Intermediate Coronary Care setting.
Patient Population & Unit Details
- 28-Bed Progressive Care / Intermediate Coronary Care Unit
- RN-to-Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:3–4
- Cardiac-focused patient population including:
- STEMI
- NSTEMI
- Chest Pain (C/P)
- Cardiothoracic Surgery (CTS) patients
Cardiac Drip Experience Required
Experience managing:
- Milrinone
- Dobutamine
- Vasopressors
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to cardiac PCU/IMCU patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic status, and patient response to treatment
- Administer cardiac drips and medications safely and accurately
- Perform ongoing patient assessments and escalate clinical concerns appropriately
- Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient charting
- Educate patients and families regarding cardiac care and recovery
- Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection prevention, and hospital protocols
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License required
- Documented Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required within work history
- Strong cardiac PCU/IMCU experience required
- Experience with cardiac drips including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and Pressors required
- BLS Certification required
- ACLS Certification required
- Ability to work efficiently in high-acuity cardiac environments
