This is a valuable opportunity for an experienced Med-Surg RN with strong ortho/neuro/trauma skills to deliver care in a 44-bed Ortho Neuro Trauma Care Center. You’ll partner with a dedicated team that values collaboration, respect, and innovative nursing practice. Exposure to diverse workplace methods and seasoned leadership, especially within a teaching hospital, will equip you to expand your clinical skillset, adapt to new protocols, and stand out in competitive nursing environments.

Your schedule will feature:

  • 13-week assignment, starting 5/18
  • 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 pm - 7 am
  • Guaranteed 36 hours per week (option for 48 on request)
  • Bi-weekly orientation with supportive onboarding
  • 3 weekends in a 6-week period & alternating holiday coverage

Key responsibilities and requirements:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care for trauma, ortho, and neuro patients, including log rolling, neuro assessments, and Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation
  • Float within skillset to local campuses with advance notice
  • Minimum 2 years RN experience, 1 year ortho/neuro/trauma, 1 travel assignment, Level II trauma experience
  • Active compact RN license, AHA BLS, NIHSS; recent EPIC charting experience
  • Preference for candidates with chest tube, wound vac, or advanced neuro skills
  • Strong assessment skills, resilience, flexibility, and positive attitude essential
  • Willingness to precept students/new staff as needed
